Having a website to promote yourself or your business is a great way to get your name out there. But when it comes to engaging with your customers or even potential customers, a website and email may feel a bit impersonal for some.

Designing your website to include a discussion board could be a useful way to interact with your current and potential customers. This can be used in place of the more traditional email or contact form methods of communication which seems very one sided for many. Many customers feel they are talking to brick walls when it comes to such methods, with many not receiving timely responses to their queries.

Adding a discussion board to your websites shows people that you are more open to communication and are not afraid of posting answers and interacting with customers in a public forum. This behavior instills a greater level of trust in current and potential customers, rather than just having email or a contact form.

Discussion boards on business websites also allow for customers to be in contact with each other. This may not seem very appealing or even relevant, but it could provide a space for current customers to provide positive feedback, which in turn grabs the attention of any potential customers out there. If a current customer posts something good to show about something you have recently done for them, a potential customer can then respond to this customer asking for further details.

All of the above are good examples of how a discussion board on your business website can enhance, promote and provide information to all customers.

Technology is constantly evolving. Just when you think things may settle down, something new is launched onto the market. Microsoft is no stranger to this way of life. With several version of operating systems launched over the past several years, they are constantly updating and providing new concepts.

Recently, Microsoft has unveiled to the world its next foray into the world of operating systems. Mango is its name – at least for the time being, and it brings with it many promises. These promises are very similar to promises which went along with previous Microsoft operating system releases. But will it be able to deliver?

Mango is an operating designed for specifically for smartphones. This could be a welcome change for those already using smartphones with other operating systems. Mango boasts over 500 new features for phone users which will take the user experience of a smartphone to a whole new level.

The new features that Mango has to offer revolve heavily around the operating system designing itself on the person and his or her social network, and not solely on the applications that the person uses. Social networking sites are able to be used in one conversation thread instead of individually, and are able to be connected to a person’s contact card. Another strong feature of the new operating system is hands-free messaging. There is built in text recognition available, making texting on the go much more safe.

Good news for existing Window 7 smart phone operating systems users. These people will be provided with a free upgrade which should be available on the market later this year.
